Church Happenings

Enjoy Music? Love to sing? We would love to have you join our choir.  See Ed Nepil, our Choir Director for details and information.

Presbyterian Women's Spring Gathering
Evelyn R. Dvorak

To All Women of our Congregation....

Circle the date of APRIL 5, 2003 on your calendar an join with me at the SPRING GATHERING to be held at the West Milford Presbyterian Church from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

As part of the program, worship and communion will be led by the Rev. Dr. Eileen Lindner, Deputy General Secretary for Research and Planning for the National Council of Churches.

I have known Eileen since my early days in Presbytery.  In my opinion, she is one of the most outstanding speakers/preachers.  Each time I hear her, she moves me to laughter or tears or both.

Bring a sandwich and stay for lunch and fellowship. "Coffee and" at registration, lunch beverage and dessert provided at one dollar.  We will have to car pool.

Christian Education...Summer Worship...E.R. Dvorak
Please let me know if you would like a repeat of our summer worship with favorite hymns (on our lawn, if weather permits).

Message from Rose Foose:

I have sent a letter to session on February 4th, 2003 as follows:

"Just a short note to state that I will not be volunteering any longer to being Coordinator of the First Presbyterian Church of Moonachie's Newsletter. I will put out March 2003 Newsletter which will be my last one."  (There were three other paragraphs regarding "Dated Material").

100th Anniversary Committee

"Footprints That We Leave"

Our committee includes the following members: Pastor Tillie, Jamie Chase, Irene Hagens, Neredia Lugo, Linda Pasquino, Millie Peterson, Lorraine Peiper & Carol Roeland, Chair.

We will be using a phrase over and over again "Footprints that we leave"....  So, when you see it or hear it, you will know information from the 100th Anniversary Committee follows.

For the balance of this year, we will be remembering all the things from our past.  On Sunday, May 18, 2003 we are planning a special dinner so that we can get together and share our memories, "FOOTPRINTS THAT WE LEAVE".  More information in the next newsletter.

Please....keep making those footprints!

Carol Roeland, Chair.
